First week back in Sept

We hope that everyone had a good summer and we are glad to have you back and ready to get going right away.

This first week we will be open in Sechelt from 12-5 on Weds and Thurs (Sept 6/7) for returning students.

For new students, we will be open for registration during the first week back. We ask that you complete the Intro to Moodle section, then to have a look at the online course that you are just beginning with Spider.

Be sure to introduce yourself to your teacher before you come in next week.

Completing courses this school year - the crunch!

If you plan to complete a course this school year, you will need to start it by spring break.

Most courses take students at least 100 hours of on-task study. You can only do them so fast. Our policy is that you can do no more than 10% of a course in a week.

Now is the time to start pacing yourself. You can't leave it all until the end.

Independent Directed Studies now available at Spider

What is an Independent Directed Studies Course and how does it fit in with high school graduation?

  • Students might already be involved in a project outside of school that qualifies for school credit
  • Or a student might want to pursue a passion or interest under the guidance of a teacher for credit.

Talk to one of the Spider teachers if you are interested. The course is now up and one student has already started.
