Weekly Update June 6-10

  1. Bring Permission Forms #1,2,3 4 by THIS FRIDAY. You will not be able to participate without them next week (Sea to Sky Monday!)
  2. This THURSDAY: Drop Off AND Pick Up are BOTH at Gibsons Market (10am drop off / 2pm pick up). Bring MASKS in case we are inside the aquarium room.
  3. Next MONDAY is Sea to Sky Paddling Day! It’s going to be an amazing adventure with this very skilled outdoor education company. Some students did not have sun hats/sun protection last week (or perhaps they kept them in their back packs…hey students, sun hats ARE cool and sunburn isn’t so cool…), so PLEASE be sure to come prepared for any kind of weather on this day. The adventure happens rain or shine!
  4. PARENT CHAPERONES: Please be sure to fill out the Sea to Sky forms. I have the following parents on our list to come on the trip that day. I hope I haven’t missed anyone who emailed me…my inbox has been crazy this past month! Shannon, Kristin, Steve, Tricia, Rob Terry. If you aren’t on this list and wanted to attend, please email, as there could be a spot (there’s a tentative student for that day). If you’re on the list and hadn’t meant to volunteer, let me know too!

PARENT FEEDBACK: This week, students will be asked for program feedback, as this helps us move forward in making ProjectSPIDER the best it can be! I will be sending an email to parents that they can use to provide us with feedback, and simply “REPLY” to the email in order to give us your helpful ideas/thoughts. More to come!

STUDENT FILM FESTIVAL: Mark on your calendars, if you haven’t already, the evening of JUNE 22! We have rented out the Heritage Theatre to show them on a big screen! This is an event for STUDENTS AND FAMILIES to attend 🙂 We will also show a “year end” slideshow of the year!
